Kari Samantha (born April 28, 1967) Wuhrer is a famous American singer and actress. She made her acting debut as a teenager. Her best-known character was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders and also for the role of Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has three siblings. As a teenager She performed in nightclubs in the night, as well as sneaking out of her family home to perform. Her mother is an accountant for payroll, while her father is German-American and is a policeman and automobile salesman. Kari was born in an extended family of four. Kari sang in nightclubs when she was just a teenager. Kari would get away at night to sing and entertain her friends. Kari at the time was 13 years old, attended the Wooster School and Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She took drama classes at Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College College, plus at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where she had a teacher renowned as Uta. Kari began acting when she was a teenager, and her first break on television was 1987 MTV's Remote Control.
